Ada Ruth Diggs, 93, of Spearman, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 in Spearman. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma at the Mulberry Cemetery with nephew, Rev. Duane Perkinson officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Ada Ruth was born in Sweetwater, OK. on May 23, 1928 to Alanson Davis and Mona Pearl Cox Davis. She attended and graduated from  Sweetwater High School.  Ada Ruth and Johnny Diggs married in Wheeler, Texas and they made their home in Gruver, Texas, where they raised their two girls, Paula and Dana.

Ada Ruth went to the LVN Class at Hansford Hospital in 1965 and JoAnn McClellan was her teacher.  She work at the Hospital and Nursing Home and was DON for a time. She worked there until she retired.

She was a loving, kind, Godly mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.

Ada Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Wayne Harvey, Jay Russell and her sister Theota and daughter, Paula Diggs King and son-in-law, Joe Wattier.

She is survived by her daughter, Dana Wattier of Spearman; brother, Warren Davis of Shamrock, TX; grandchildren, Lori and husband, Joe Acevedo, Nolan King, Earl Wattier, Desiree and husband, Kevin Harris; six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. Ada Ruth was also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.
