Arthur "Art" Monk, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Viewing will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 1:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. and Wednesday, December  29, from 9:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman. A family visitation will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.  A graveside service will be on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Stinnett Cemetery at 2:00p.m. with Deacon Davin Winger, officiating, assisted by Holly Gifford.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Art was born on June 22, 1937 in Shamrock, Texas, to Kenneth V. Monk and Angela O' Gorman Monk. Art Monk and Kathy Burchard were married on September 4, 1964 in Stinnett, Texas. He loved farming and ranching. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved to fish.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert A. Monk.

Art  is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; children, Yvette Hopper of Spearman, Texas, and Dennis Monk of Spearman, Texas; sisters, Martha Manasco of Stinnett, Texas, Verna Herndon of Plano, Texas, Rosetta Barrera of Spearman, Texas; brothers, Joe (KV) Monk of Gardendale, Texas, Paul Monk of Weatherford, Texas, Roy Monk of Graham, Texas, Billy Monk of Cibolo, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Family suggests memorials be to the Ochiltree Hospice Volunteers in Perryton, TX.
