Beverly Head of Perryton, Tx went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 17, after a brief illness at the age of 78. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Southside Baptist Church of Perryton at 10:30 am with Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Due to COVID 19 guidelines, we will be practicing social distancing and occupancy numbers will be limited. Beverly was born on March 11, 1942, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, to her parents Lee and Della Yarbrough. Beverly was raised in Sayre, Oklahoma, along with her older brother, Dwayne, and younger sister, Linda. She graduated from Sayre High School in 1960. Beverly earned her Associate Degree from Sayre Junior College.

Beverly married Gene Head on August 20, 1962. This union of marriage was blessed with three children, Denise, Karen, and Drue. They moved to Perryton, Texas, in 1969. Beverly dedicated her life to her family and extended church family at Southside Baptist Church. Beverly had many gifts and talents in which she used to bless others. Many of us are the recipients of her sewing abilities in the many quilts she lovingly made, the costumes she put together, or just the repair of some item of clothing. She also blessed us with her cooking talents both at home and church. We enjoyed her pies, cakes, and fried chicken. As a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church, she served alongside others in the kitchen and always helped at VBS. Beverly will be remembered for her sweet smile, kindness, and true servant's heart.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Head, her parents, Lee and Della Yarbrough, her brother, Dwayne Yarbrough, and sister, Linda Bryan. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Karen Head, son, Drue Head, and grandson, Trevin Head.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Denise Collums and husband, Robby of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She is also survived by grandchildren: Tyler Collums and wife, Joni of Owasso, Oklahoma, Taylor Head and his wife, Kara of Perryton, Texas, Heather Purnell and her husband, Dusty of Eldon, Missouri, and Tucker Collums and his wife, Meghan of Snead's Ferry, North Carolina. She is survived by 15 great-grandchildren: Aubree, Mara, Mason, Talon, Landry, Diesel, Tatyn, Gunner, Bo, Jett, Maddie, Abigail, Trevin, Emerson, and Brennan. She is also survived by many extended family members including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
