Bill Porter, 81, of Spearman, Tx passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Spearman with Rev. Byron Potter officiating. Burial will follow in Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Walter Le-Roy "Bill" Porter was born July 3, 1939 to Walter Arthur and Zella Lepper Porter in Beaver, Ok. He was a phenomenal man and grandpa. He was a true blessing and took care of everyone. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Spearman.

Bill is survived by his son, Trey Porter of Spearman, Tx; two granddaughters, Kylee Hawkins and Kelsea Porter both of Spearman, Tx; one grandson, Kegan Porter of Liberal, Ks; and five great-grandchildren, Drey Hawkins, Liam Hawkins, Kamiyah Hawkins, Alenakae Hawkins, and Penelope Ward.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Fern Porter in 2009.

The family suggests memorials be made in his name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, Tn 38148-0142.
