Burton Lee Schubert, 79, of Spearman, passed away on Thursday August, 4, 2022.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at 11:00a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Spearman with Rev. Mindy Mc Lanahan  officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.

Burton was born on November 3, 1942 in Missouri, to F.B. and Maylynn Lovett Schubert.  He was a graduate of Spearman High School and married Wanda Brinkley of Spearman on July 5, 1961.  Burton was a life-long farmer until 1996 when he began driving a truck to see the country with Wanda.  He retired from traveling in 2001.

He was quite the carpenter and his favorite hobby was woodworking in his shop.  He also loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.  He loved to craft wooden keepsakes for all of them.

Burton is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda Schubert,sister, Marilyn Groves; and a grandson Chase Schubert.

Burton is survived by a daughter, Margie and Sam Boone of Wichita Falls, TX., son, Lee and Lisa Schubert of Spearman, 2 grandchildren, Kia Boone and Madison Woodard.  He is also survived by his 6 great-grandchildren.
