Clara May Boren, 93, of Booker, Texas died on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Perryton, Texas. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Booker Methodist Church in Booker, Texas with Rev. Scott Richards and Rev. Gene McPeak officiating. Burial will follow Heart Cemetery in Booker.  Viewing/visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Sunday (12/11/22), 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday (12/12/22) and 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (12/13/22) at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Chapel in Booker. Family visitation will be from 10:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, (12/13/22).  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas.

Clara was born August 27, 1929, in Woods County, Oklahoma to William and Cora (Corbin) Crusinbery. She married Ben Allen Boren on March 15, 1951, in Alva, Oklahoma. She was known for her cooking and baking throughout the community. She enjoyed quilting and loved her coffee group.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Boren of Aline, Oklahoma, Don Boren and wife Rose of Lubbock, Texas; daughter, Kathryn Boren of Lubbock, Texas; Grandsons, Devin Boren and wife Lindsay of North Fort Myers, Florida, Trevor Boren of San Diego, California; Sisters, Dorothy Ashton of Alva, Oklahoma, Oleta Rodgers Northglenn, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; sisters, Marjorie Hadley, Mildred Benson, Gladys Snyder; brother, Glen Crusinbery.
