Consuelo "Chelo" Flores Muñoz, 78, of Perryton, TX peacefully entered into glory on Thursday, February 3, 2022. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thur., February 10, 2022, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Perryton, with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial will follow at Ochiltree Cemetery.  Viewing and visitation is scheduled for Tues., February 8, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be on Wed., February 09, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Boxwell Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, TX.

Chelo was born on November 16, 1943, to Eulalio and Agapita Muñoz in Cieneguias, Chih., Mexico. She was married to the late, Jesus Manuel Flores for 57 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Perryton.  Her unquestionable love for her family was evident in her cooking. She poured love into every morsel and was fulfilled by feeding those around her. She especially enjoyed cooking with fresh ingredients.  She loved to plant flowers, maintain a vegetable garden, raise chickens and loved to drink fresh milk. Many of her recipes will be passed down for generations to come.

She is survived by her six children, Laura Mendoza and husband, Ramiro of Farnsworth, TX; Hector Flores and wife, Michelle, Octavio Flores and wife, Sandra, Benjamin Flores and wife, Lila, Jesus Manuel Flores, Jr. and wife, Brandi all of Perryton, TX and Fernando Flores of Midland, TX; sisters, Magdalena Melendez, Rosa Muñoz, Flora Romero, Manuela Hernandez, Elicia Moreno; brothers, Jorge Muñoz, Adrian Muñoz, Eulalio Muñoz, Jr.; Ten grandkids, Sheana and husband Will, Bo, Sellecca, Savoy, Sheadon, Daniella, Kajsa and fiancé, Victor, Samantha, Rylan, Latisha and husband, Caleb and five great grand kids.

Consuelo is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus Manuel Flores; parents, Eulalio and Agapita Muñoz; three brothers, Alberto Muñoz, Fermin Muñoz, and Armando Muñoz; grandsons, Sakoda Juarez and Sheldon Flores.

Chelo nació el 16 de Nobiembre, 1943, en Cienegias, Chih., MX. Ella era miembra de la iglesia Católica, Inmaculada Concepción de Perryton. Su incuestionable amor por su familia era evidente en su cocina. Derramaba amor en cada bocado y se sentía satisfecha al alimentar a los que la rodeaban. Especialmente le gustaba cocinar con ingredientes frescos.  Le encantaba plantar flores, mantener un huerto, crair pollos y le encantaba beber leche fresca. Es muy conocida por sus tamales. Muchas de sus recetas se transmitirán a las generaciones venideras.

Le sobreviven sus seis hijos, Laura Mendoza, esposo, Ramiro de Farnsworth, TX; Hector Flores y esposa, Michelle, Octavio Flores y esposa, Sandra, Benjamin Flores y esposa, Lila, Jesús Manuel Flores, Jr. y esposa, Brandi, todos de Perryton, TX y Fernando Flores de Midland, TX; hermanas, Magdalena Meléndez, Elicia Moreno, Manuela Hernández, Rosa Muñoz y Flora Romero; hermanos, Jorge Muñoz, Adrián Muñoz y Eulalio Muñoz, Jr.; Diez nietos, Sheana y esposo Will, Bo, Sellecca, Savoy, Sheadon, Daniella, Kajsa y su prometido, Victor, Samantha, Rylan, Latisha y esposo, Caleb y Cinco bisnietos.

Consuelo fue precedida en muerte por su querido esposo, Jesús Manuel Flores; padres, Eulalio y Agapita Muñoz; Tres hermanos, Alberto Muñoz, Fermín Muñoz, y Armando Muñoz; nietos, Sakoda Juárez and Sheldon Flores.
