David LeRoy Collins, 81 of Spearman passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the First Christian Church in Spearman, 10:00a.m. with Rev. Danny Hendricks officiating.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

David was born on May 23, 1943 in Emporia, Kansas to Edward LeRoy Collins"Roy" and Emma Lou Cline Collins. David Collins and Phyllis Davis were married on November 6, 1971 in Spearman, Texas.  He was a member of the First Christian Church in Spearman.

David was a rural route carrier for the USPS.  He was known for his wit and was an ornery sort of guy.  David never met a stranger and loved to talk.  He always told people that he was a professional street walker.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and a friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Collins and a niece, Cindy Collins.

David is survived by his wife, Phyllis of the home, daughter, Lisa Flowers and son, Brent Collins.  He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Hunter Flowers, Emma Kelsey, Oliver Flowers, Nolan Flowers, brother , Dan & wife Linda Collins and son, Curt, and sister Becky Pittman and children, Blaine and Molly.  He will be missed by his many friends.
