Dixie Darlene Hargues, age 82, of Perryton, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Perryton. A private family graveside will be scheduled for a later date in Ochiltree Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Dixie was born May 28, 1939 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Florence (Thiessen) McGarraugh. She married Leroy Hargues in Clayton, New Mexico on July 13, 1957. He passed away on August 5, 1996.

Dixie and Leroy owned and operated Leroy's American Gas Station and later Hargues Corner. She was a hospice volunteer and spent many hours volunteering at the Museum of the Plains. Dixie was an ordained minister and member of Light of Christ Community Church.

Dixie is survived by one daughter, Vickie Darlene Cox and one son, Danny Paul Hargues both of Perryton, Texas; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy; son, Ricky; grandson, Brian; her sister, Trula; and her brother, Warren.
