Donald Ray Burke, 73, of Spearman passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Amarillo.  Viewing will be at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, October, 17, 2020 from 3:00p.m. till 9:00p.m., Sunday, October  18, 1:00p.m. till 9:00p.m. and Monday, October 19, 2020 from 9:00a.m. till 9:00p.m. Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Hansford Cemetery at 1:00p.m. with Rev. Tyler Hines officiating.  Arrangements  by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Donald Ray was born on May 29, 1947 in Shattuck, Ok. to Clarence and Nellie Lawson Burke.  Donald  Ray and Carol Boyd were married on November 21, 1967 in Las Vegas , New Mexico.   He worked in the oil and gas industry as an oil field pumper for 20 years and was with the Mutt Hutt Rescue for 10 years..  He had a passion for helping animals.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Carol and brother, Jesse Burke.

Donald Ray is survived by his daughter, Audra and husband Ryan Wells of Spearman;  son, Shannon and wife Trina Burke of Texhoma , OK. , sisters ; Pat Fisher of Burkburnett TX., Nancy Long of Enid, OK.  He is also survived by his grandchildren,  granddaughters, Timberly and husband , Osvaldo  Lomeli; Chasity and husband,  Brett Winegarner;  Kristyn and  husband,  Kaleb  Eskew;  Tori Burke; Natalie Wells, and grandson,  Cody Burke, great-grandchildren, Tinzley, Izabella and Alyza Lomeli; Brady and Beckett Winegarner and Boone Eskew.
