Don Schell was born to Claud and Lena Schell in Logan Oklahoma on April 12, 1927. He became a lifelong member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He married Nona Carolyn Holdeman on May 29, 1947. They had 5 children but lost one in infancy. He moved from Perryton to Wichita Kansas where he was a bookkeeper for "Pappy Parker" who owned several Phillips 66 gas stations and various rental properties. In 1965 the Schell family moved to Spearman. Don was a mail carrier for a few years and then went into the vending business including cigarettes, games, jukeboxes and a coffee route. He spent several years in Arizona were he really loved working at the flea markets selling to the snowbirds. Talking toys were, by far, his favorite. Hobbies were making wind chimes and macramé lawn chairs plus anything that was fun and kept him busy which include playing and winning in the domino game "42". In his late 80's, due to health issues, he came back to Spearman to be near his children. He resided at Hansford Manor the final years of his life where he was very entertaining as he kept the staff hopping.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Lena Schell, his wife, Nona, his daughter, Darlyn Kay, two brothers Melvin and Bob, a granddaughter Gina Elizabeth Schell, a grandson, Rodney Gene Williams, a great-grandson Jonathan Bryan Gilbert and a great-great grandson Lincoln Micheal Kirkland.

He is survived by daughters Carolyn Aloise and Sharalyn Adele, son Rondal, wife, Judy and son, Randy. He leaves 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
