Donna Jean Slaughter, 78, of Perryton, Tx passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

A memorial service will be conducted by the family at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Perryton, Texas with Rev. Richard Laverty officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Donna Jean was born January 19, 1943 to Pete and Gladys (Reynolds) Youtsey in Artesia, NM. She married J.L. Slaughter on May 23, 1959 in Alamogordo, NM. He preceded her in death in 2005. Her passion was sewing, she loved to cook and talk on the phone. She had the gift of gab. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perryton.

She is survived by her children; son, John Eugene and Judy Lynn Slaughter of Wheatland, Mo; son, Lonnie Slaughter of Perryton, Tx; daughter, Eva and Tim Hargues of Perryton, Tx; daughter, Cecelia Marie and Robert Sutton of Borger, Tx; seventeen grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Gladys Youtsey; husband, J.L Slaughter; daughter, Elizabeth Smith; and brother, Jessie Youtsey.

The family suggests memorials be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, Tx 79109 or one's favorite charity.
