Dorothy Lanier Wilson, 83, of Booker, Texas passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 in Perryton, Texas. A memorial graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Afton, Texas Cemetery.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas.

Dorothy was born March 4, 1938 in Spur, Texas to Archer and Virgie (McMahan) Powell. Starting at age 6 years, Dorothy rode her horse, McArthur, to her 2 room country school called Dry Lake. She graduated from high school in Spur then Texas Tech College. She taught school in Odessa and Amarillo. She married Donald L. Wilson on November 28, 1959 in Odessa, Texas. Together they raised 2 children in Booker.  They enjoyed making bread together. Dorothy also loved to sew and garden.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Dinah Wilson-Reid and her husband Jay of Mckinney, Texas; son, Dale Wilson and his wife Adriana of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie, London, Emily and Azzan; and sisters, Nancy, Pat, and Jane.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
