Earnest Janzen, 92, long time resident of Perryton, Texas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2021. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton with Rev. Dr. Ollie Kinser officiating. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Earnest was born October 13, 1929 to Sam and Irene (Scroggs) Janzen in Ochiltree County. He married Anita Burges on September 15, 1948 in Spearman, Texas. He was a member of the Community Worship Center of Perryton. He loved wood working as a hobby and furniture refinishing as a business.

He is survived by three children, Debra Aliene Kinney, Karen Denise Lewton, and Kevin Dennis Janzen all of Spearman, Texas; seven grandchildren;  twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Irene Janzen; his wife, Anita; son, Earnest Glen Janzen; brothers, Cleo Janzen, Gail Janzen, Robert Janzen; and sisters, Roberta Rose and Avis Reid.
