She was born in Posey, Texas on February 12, 1934 to Lester Eugene and Grace Vera (Raymond) Evans. The family farmed in the Southland and Slaton areas. Louise graduated from Lubbock Cooper High School in 1951 and then attended Drawn's Business School. She worked in the Ford House until 1954.
In 1953, Louise met Walter Ted Evans, while he was attending Texas Tech University. They married on June 7, 1953, in the Woodrow Baptist Church and moved to Gruver in February of 1956. They moved to their home on Cluck Street in June of that year.
Louise and Ted had four children. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, as well as a member of TOPS and Hobby Club. Louise was an amazing seamstress and cook. She meticulously made about 35 beautiful sequined Christmas stockings for the whole family. She loved to travel and to visit with friends and family. She loved it when her house was full of kids and grandkids. She loved to play games and her favorite was Joker. You always wanted to be her partner because she could be a little ruthless to win.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Barbara Payton and Glenda Roberts; and her daughter, Sharon Rosser.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ted Evans; three sons: David and his wife, Nancy of Grand Prairie, Texas; Mike and his wife, Marla of Amarillo, Texas; Tim and his wife, Leslie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Her grandchildren are Dean Evans, Greg Evans and his wife, Sarah; Joy Dalrymple and her husband, Curtis; Pam Qualls and her husband, Jeremy; Jessica Evans; Jennifer Kessler and her husband, Troy; Jason Evans and his wife, Rayanne, Austin Evans, and Leslie Macias and her husband, Ian, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
