Emma Mendez, 90, of Perryton, Tx passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial will follow at Ochiltree Cemetery. Rosary is scheduled for 6:00 pm, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home with vigil to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Due to COVID 19 guidelines, we will be practicing social distancing and occupancy numbers will be limited.

Emma was born on January 30, 1930 to Jose and Venedicta Gonzales Dominguez in San Miguel, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Santiago Mendez on March 20, 1950 in Mexico. He preceded her in death in 2004. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Perryton.

Survivors include; four daughters, Manuela Mendez of Chihuahua, Mexico, Guadalupe Mendez of Odessa, Tx, Andrea Mendez and Rosa Mendez, both of Perryton, Tx; five sons, Rigoberto Mendez of Liberal, Ks, Jesus Antonio Mendez of Liberal, Ks, Santiago Mendez Jr. of Amarillo, Tx, Mario Rafael Mendez of Dallas, Tx and Miguel Angel MENDEZ of Mexico; 42 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren; one brother Jesus Antonio Dominguez of Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Venedicta Dominguez; husband, Santiago Mendez; and sons, Jose Louis Mendez and Adalberto Mendez.
