George Walthall, 78, of Booker, Tx passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021. Burial will be Friday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Ft. Worth, Tx. George was born November 8, 1942, in Ft. Worth, Tx to George and Pauline (Parker) Walthall. He served in the air force. George had a way of looking at things a little differently than the rest of us. His wisdom was simpler and more down to earth. George was full of great quotes and western values that always made you leave smiling. This was one of his favorite quotes: "If you get thrown from a horse, you have to get up and get back on, unless you landed on a cactus; then you have to roll around and scream in pain."
Survivors include sister, Kathy and Dick Perkins of Orange, Ca; nieces, Kacie Reed and Julie Walthall; step grandson, Tim Dickason; and step-granddaughter, Jennifer Ernst. He is also survived by his long time caregiver, Theresa Balzer.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Villa Marie, parents, George and Pauline Walthall, and a brother, Mickey Walthall.
George loved singing and playing his guitar as well as listening to classical guitar music. George also loved being in the outdoors.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent in his name to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, Florida 33607, or to the charity of your choice.
