Glen Ray Mackie, 67, of Spearman  passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. Viewing  will be on Saturday (1/28/2023) 11:00.a.m-9:00p.m. and Sunday (1/29/2023) 1:00p.m.-9:00p.m.at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.  Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church in Spearman on Monday,  January 30,2023 at 10:00a.m. with Rev. Byron Potter officiating.  Burial will follow at Hansford Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

He was born on July 24,1955, in Spearman to Glen Alvin Mackie and Norma Jean Hutton Mackie.    Glen Ray and  Laura Barnes  were married on October 2, 1976 in Spearman.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spearman.  He loved watching his grandkids in their activities.  He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was an avid sports fan and loved to support all of Spearman's kids.  He also loved his mancave  times with his buddies.

Glen Ray was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Lynna Renner.

He is survived by his wife, Laura of the home, daughter Leah Strickland and husband, Marcus of Huntsville , TX., sons,  Jeramy Mackie and wife, Monica of Amarillo and Dustin Mackie and wife, Morgan of Spearman.  He is also survived by his sisters, Cathy and husband, Mike McCoy of Perryton and Michele and husband, Mike Davis of Spearman.  He is survived by 8 grandchildren, Candice,Cason, Brody, Cash, Addy, Bella, Cody and Violet and many friends.
