Glen Ward, 84, of Gruver, Tx passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Spearman, Tx.  A graveside service will be on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Gruver Cemetery 10:30 a.m. and a memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Gruver United Methodist Church, with Rev. Steve Chappell officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.

Glen was born to David  Autra and Elma Rosalie (Niedens) Ward on August 18, 1937.

Glen married Janice Ann Wiekamp on July 13, 1963 at the Oslo Lutheran Church.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gruver.  Glen served in the US. Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was stationed in California on a hospital ship as a medic. Glen was a barber from 1961 until 1975 and then worked for Phillips Pet. Company from 1975-1999.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janice (1994) brothers, Tom and Leslie Ward.

Glen is survived by his son, Daniel T. Ward, families of Tom Ward, Leslie Ward of Alaska. and J.W. Ward and families of Gruver.  He is also survived by Ann McClure and family of Amarillo and Sharla Hamen and family of Castle Wood, South Dakota.

The family wishes to extend thanks to staff of Hansford Manor for the care and support over the past few years.
