Guadalupe Trejo Soto, known by many as Lupe, Papi, Tio, and Grandpa, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 21, 2022 at the age of 70. He was born December 12, 1951 in Villa Aldama, Chihuahua to Rosario Trejo and Piedad Soto. He lived with his family in San Onofre Satevo Chihuahua until he immigrated to the United States. He married his true love, Debbie Trejo, on January 2, 1986 in Spearman, Texas and resided in Morse, Texas for 36 years.

Lupe will be remembered for the beautiful memories he left behind.  He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife for 33 years.  He was a supportive, selfless, and softhearted father and grandfather to his own children and to anyone who needed him. Lupe was humble, kind, and had an unconditional love and compassion for others. Lupe had an unbelievable strength that enabled him to persevere through so many obstacles in his life and an unfailing work ethic.  He will also be remembered for his sense of humor, childlike sense of fun and play, and charm.

Lupe was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie; his father and mother, Rosario and Piedad; his sisters, Salome and Catalina, and his brother Ramon.

Lupe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Cody Dickson; son and care-taker, Guadalupe Daniel Trejo; son, Juan Luiz Trejo; son, Michael Rosario Trejo; brother, Carlos Trejo; brother, Crisoforo Trejo; sister, Emidia Borunda; five grandchildren Kelsey, Pema, Nigel, Heidi, and Angie; and many nephews and nieces...all of whom he loved deeply.

The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice for its thoughtful service and tender care. They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude for everyone's love, generosity, and support.

Cards can be sent to the family at 5904 Itasca Street, Lubbock Texas 79416.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lupe's name may be made to First National Bank of Spearman in care of Maria Dickson to assist the family with the expenses that have incurred or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church at P.O. Box 127 Spearman, Texas 79081.
