Hilaria Guadalupe Navarrete, 75, of Perryton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas.  Viewing will be Thursday, August 8, 2024 from noon to 9:00 p.m., and Friday, August 9, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Key Heights Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Joshua Popa.  Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Mrs. Navarrete was born on October 22, 1948 in Michoacan, Mexico.  She had been here in the United States for thirty years, having moved from Mexico, where  she owned her own restaurant, Ilusion La Michoacana, and she loved working there.  She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton.

Mrs. Navarrete is survived by two sons, Juan Carlos Navarrete, of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Jose Navarrete of Perryton, Texas; two brothers, Marcos Diaz of Mexico, and Pedro Diaz, also of Mexico; two sisters; and twelve grandchildren.

Mrs. Navarrete was preceded in death by one son, Miguel Angel Navarrete, and one brother, Felipe Diaz.
