Hilda Jane Denham, 96, of Booker, Texas passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Dumas, Texas.  Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in Booker, Texas.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Booker, Texas.  Burial will follow in Heart Cemetery in Booker.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Booker, Texas.

Mrs. Denham was born on January 15, 1928 in Whitharell, Texas to Joe Harpool and Georgia Robinson.  Going into her marriage to her husband, Marvin Denham, she had two children, Deborah and Ronnie Knust.  From her union to Mr. Denham, she had two daughters, Teresa Ferguson and DeeEtta Cornelius.  She married Marvin in Throckmorton, Texas on December 28, 1956.   She worked as a housekeeper at Booker High School, and she was a hardworking person her entire life.  She worked until she was 87.   She would do anything for anyone, and she loved cats.  Yard work was her therapy.  She loved her family, and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Booker, Texas.

Mrs. Denham is survived by three daughters, Deborah Moon of Dodge City, Kansas, Teresa Ferguson of Booker, Texas, and DeeEtta Cornelius of Dumas, Texas; one son, Ronnie Knust and wife Connie of Azle, Texas; and her dear friend and caregiver, Joyce Davis.

Mrs. Denham was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; and three sisters, Jo Etta Offield, Norma Logan, and Lois Knust.

The family requests memorials be to Booker High School in Booker, Texas.
