James Patrick "Pat" Poer, 86, of Gruver passed away on Sunday, May 5,2024.  No services are scheduled at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Pat was born on February 3, 1938 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Benjamin Poer and Mary Knoblock Poer.   Pat Poer and Helen Holman were married in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 7, 1959. He had spent the last 14 years in Hansford County.  Pat was an avid metal artist and a lifelong cowboy. He loved doing his metal art work and horses.  Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Poer of Gruver, sons, Ben and wife Kerry Poer of Woodward, OK.,J.D and wife Mandy of Gruver, sister, Kris Shaw of Walden, Colorado. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bailey Rae Kafka, Wyatt Poer, Helen Poer, Lily Poer, and great-granddaughter Tatum Kafka.
