Janie Kathleen Jeffries, 80, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Gruver, Texas, passed away at home with family Monday, June 30, 2025. Services will be held 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Gruver, Monday July 14, 2025. A private burial will be at the Gruver Cemetery with cremation arrangements by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Janie was born on June 16, 1945, in Amarillo, Texas to Warren Jeffries and Colleen Rafferty Jeffries. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Gruver. Janie was a home maker, massage therapist and manicurist; loved spending time with family and friends; and reading the bible.

Janie is survived by two sons, Joel White of Guffey, Colorado, and Jeffrey Hand of Hutchinson, Kansas; and one daughter Joanna (Joby) Cooper of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Don Evans; and a sister, Marian Shapley Tomlinson.
