Jean Armes, 91, of Gruver, Tx. passed away Saturday May 23, 2020. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Gruver cemetery with Rev. Steve Chappell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Due to COVID 19 guidelines, social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Jean was born to J.B and Leila (Skipworth) Holland on May 15, 1929 in Kress, Texas. She married John Armes in Amarillo, Texas on January 1991. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gruver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Connie Clothier, and brother, B.J. Holland.

Jean is survived by her husband, John Armes of Gruver, Tx, five children, son, Steve Crable of Flowermound, Tx, daughter, Debra Fletcher of Plainview, Tx, daughter, Darla Ford of Phoenix, AZ., son, Justin Armes of Fredricksburg, Tx., son, David Armes of Gruver, Tx., and brother Lonnie Holland of The Woodlands, Tx. She was MOM MOM to Greta, Brent, Katie, Hanna, Lindsey and Jeffery.
