Listen to Obituary

Taken from Philippians 3:21 – Jesus Christ, by his supreme power to subdue all things, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.

Jennifer Lou Fisher, 53 of Gruver, Texas, passed away and was healed on Tuesday, April 14,2026. There is no service planned at this time.

Jennifer Lou was born May 2, 1972, in Altus, Oklahoma to Benny Ray Fisher and Charlotte (Blakley) Fisher. She was 23” inches long when she was born so we have always called her our “Long Tall Sally”. She took off running, not walking, at 10 months old to keep up with her older brother and sister, She was also known to steal your bath water by being sneaky and peeling off her diaper and jumping right in or running up to the television and changing the channel, laughing and running away. She would steal the bottles from her cousins and hold two bottles in her hands and dare them to take it back with just a look. She was playful and ornery. No one was allowed to get on to her because she was defended and protected by her older brother and sister. On July 21,1973 she was in an accident that left her disabled. Her mother, Charlotte, took the best care of her the rest of her life, unmatched by anyone. Jennifer enjoyed a happy life and enjoyed all of her cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was always the first to ask where all the presents were during the holidays. If she could ask for it, she could have it is what her daddy always said. She was cherished and loved by all of her family.

Jennifer Lou was preceded in death by her daddy, Benny Ray Fisher and her grandmother Zadie Lou Fisher who she was named after.

Jennifer Lou is survived by her mother Charlotte of the home, her brother Benny Ray Fisher, Jr. and wife Ja'net of Mineral Wells, Texas, her sister Natalie and husband Brent Thornton of Gruver, Texas. Her Uncle Jim and Aunt Linda Fletcher of Lawton, Oklahoma, her nieces and nephews, Jordan Weeks, Emmylie Fisher, Lonnie Born and wife Chelsea Born, Marshall Thornton and wife Elizabeth Thornton, Ruby Fowler and husband Zack Fowler. Her great nieces and nephews, Dixon Born, Lydia Church, Willow Church, Kanaan Thornton, Benny RayJune Thornton and Zadie Fowler, all her cousins and her long-time good friend Bertha Rey of Gruver.

Lest we forget, it says in Proverbs 31:8 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute."
