Arthur Jerry (Tooter) Bowling, of Spearman, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020.  Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at the Union Church in Spearman with Rev. Mark Murray officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Tooter was born on March 15, 1940, in Spearman,Texas to Leon and Goldie Kerr Bowling. He married the love of his life, Fannie Sue Melton Bowling on August 27, 1958 in Spearman. They had a love story that everyone wanted. He was a handy man and jack of all trades. He worked for several people in Spearman and was always a phone call away to help. He never met a stranger and his pride and joy were all of his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Goldie Bowling, his wife, Fannie Sue Melton Bowling, one son, Arthur Bowling, one daughter, Brenda Gill, numerous brothers and sisters and one son-in-law, Doug Barnes.

Tooter is survived by his daughters Shannon Barnes, Jolynda Martinez and husband, James, Tanja Whitefield and husband, Ed, and Stephnie Barclay all of Spearman. He is also survived by his 11 grandkids,17 great-grandkids and not to mention all of his adopted kids and grands, that called him Papaw Tootie.

Family suggests memorials be given to the Hansford Hospice or charity of your choice.
