Jimena Isela Chavez, 9, of Perryton, Texas passed away May 20, 2025 in Perryton, Texas.  Mass will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton, officiated by Father Victor Andrade.  Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Jimena was born on April 20, 2016 in Perryton, Texas to David Contreras and Abelina Chavez.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  She was a student in Perryton, Texas, and she was a loving daughter and sister, and she loved her family and her nurses very much.

Jimena is survived by her mother, Abelina Chavez, and her step-father, Marco Enriquez, and her father, David Contreras, and her step-mother, Sami; four brothers, Joshua Gonzales, Cameron Contreras, Colton Cates, and Trent McCune; one sister, Maya Enriquez; two grandmothers, Socoro Perez and Marolan Smith; three aunts, Victoria Chavez, Michelle Contreras, and Cari Harp; five uncles, Ramon Diaz, Gabino Garcia, Domingo Contreras, Manuel Ramirez, and Jeff Fabila; four cousins, Cristal, Dylan and Gael Garcia, and Celeste Bustillos; and God-parents, Sergio and Lupita Banda.

The family requests that memorials be to the Leuko Dystrophy Foundation, 224 North Second Street, Suite 2, DeKalb, IL 60115.
