Joani Ortiz, 30, of Morse, Texas passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022.  Viewing will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 3, 2022, 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Morse at 2:00 p.m. with Victor Aldaco officiating.  Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Joani was born on May 10, 1991 to Ismael Ortiz Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Carrazco in Chihuahua, Mexico.  He worked at Frontier Feed Yard as a mechanic.  He was the type of person that like helping others, if your car needed something fixed he was there to help you, he would take out a transmission and put back in just days. He loved his kids and would do anything for them, and on good sunny days he would cook out for the whole family and he was very very good at cooking.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose Dela Luz Carrazco and Maria Del Refugio and Maria Guadalupe Tarango.

Joani is survived by his wife, Daniela Ortiz; a son, Yovanny Ortiz; daughter, Yareitzi Ortiz all of Morse; his mother, Maria Guadalupe Carrazco of Spearman; his father, Ismael Ortiz of Mexico; and three brothers, Ismael Ortiz Jr., Jahir Ortiz and Adrian Ortiz all of Spearman.
