John Louis Benedict, 76, of Beaver, Oklahoma passed away on September 19, 2023 in Amarillo, Texas.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at his home at 137701 EW 30 Rd, Beaver, Oklahoma, 73932.  Cremation arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Mr. Benedict was born on December 6, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Val Benedict and Lois Dingmann.  He was a dairy farmer in Minnesota and an electrician for 35 years.  He graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1964.  He was a member of the Coriente Cattle Association for 30 years.  He loved rodeos, and he loved team roping.  He loved cattle, and he was an avid gardener.  He mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and did not miss a rodeo or ball game.

Mr. Benedict is survived by two daughters, Jessica Kramer and husband Kevin of Monticello, Minnesota, and Amy Casper and husband John of Balko, Oklahoma; two sisters, Linda Rosecke of Minnesota, and Patty McPherson of Hudson, Wisconsin; one brother, Jim Benedict of Florida;  six grandchildren, Alex Kramer and Kelsie Stephens, Ty Casper and wife Layton, Clay Casper and wife Lainie, Wyatt Casper and wife Lesley, Maddie Kramer and Colby Kramer; and four great-grandchildren, Cooper Casper, Cheyenne Casper, Havyn Casper and Coplyn Casper.

The family requests that memorials be to one's favorite charity.
