Josefina Dominguez, 92, of Booker, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Booker with Father Cesar Gomez officiating.  Burial will follow in Heart Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas. There will be a wake at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Booker this evening (Thursday) from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m. Viewing/visitation will be 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Friday (12/16/22) at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Chapel in Booker. A rosary is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Booker followed by a vigil.

Josefina was born April 6, 1930 in Temechic, Chihuahua, Mexico to Salomon and Hermelinda (Castillo) Montes. She married Zacarias Dominguez on January 10, 1956 in San Miguel and they moved to Booker in 1992 from Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico.

She will be remembered for her time spent in prayer. It was immensely important to her. She loved having her children visit daily to enjoy her homemade sopapillas and coffee. She also liked crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. The patience she showed in all she did will never be forgotten.

Survivors include: sons Alfonso Dominguez and wife Manuela, Alberto Dominguez and wife Rosa, Jose Dominguez, and Zacarias Dominguez Jr. and wife Susy; daughters Antonia Torres and husband Oscar, Maria Luisa Paz and husband Ramon, Socorro Dominguez, Hermelinda Anchondo and husband Luis, and Rosa Dominguez; twenty four grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Zacarias; a son Alfredo Dominguez; a grandson Zacarias Dominguez and her parents.
