Kacy Lee Courson, a resident of Perryton, TX, died unexpectedly on July 7, 2024, at the age of 40, in a single-vehicle wreck outside of Perryton.

Kacy is survived by her fiancé, Colt Rawlins, her brother, Cole Courson, and sister, Cali Kit Campagnola; her children, Cali Leeann Johnson and Kellen Kent Courson; her grandparents, Harold & Susan Courson; and grandmother, Joyce Doran.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Kim Curry Courson; father, Kent Courson; her grandparents, Norman & Eleanor Curry; grandmother, Joyce Courson; and grandfather, Dr. Kendrick Doran.

Kacy was born to Kent and Kim Courson in Pampa, TX, on June 18, 1984. She graduated from Perryton High School and worked various jobs over her lifetime. On March 17, 2007, Kacy had her firstborn child, Cali Leeanne Johnson, and a few years later, on May 29, 2010, her son Kellen Kent Courson was born.  Both her children are involved in various activities and are thriving teenagers.

Kacy enjoyed outdoor activities such as horseback riding and spending time at the lake or in the mountains.  Whether they were located inside or outside, she never found an animal she didn't love, and these animals found a special place in her heart.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Victory Family Church.  Some of Kacy's ashes will be buried with her headstone, which will be located at Perryton Cemetery.
