Kellye Lynn Orel, 41, of Booker, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026 in Booker, Texas. Viewing will be held Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Booker, Texas. No services are planned. Cremation arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Booker, Texas.

Kellye was born on December 21, 1984 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Chuck Friesen and Deena Ridley. She married her husband, John Orel on February 2, 2018 in Booker, Texas. She became an art teacher and teaching her “kids” art was her whole life. She owned Orel Art Studio and Gallery in Booker for six years. She was an extremely devoted wife and mother, and she loved being outdoors, enjoying lakes and the surrounding trees.

Kellye is survived by her husband, John, of Booker, Texas; her parents, John and Deena Brown of Indianapolis, Indiana; her daughter, Trinity Orel, and her son, Aiden Morgan, both of Booker, Texas; one step-son, William DePrince, of Booker, Texas; one brother, Chris Brown, of Indianapolis, Indiana; her grandparents Ken and Vicki Schafer of Booker, Texas; one aunt, Lisa Schneidereit of Booker, Texas; two uncles, Jeffery Brown of Phoenix, Arizona, and Terry Brown of Indianapolis, Indiana; and one cousin, Ty Spence of Snyder, Oklahoma.
