LaVonne Freeman, 90, of Waka, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at 13765 Co. Rd. 1, Waka, Texas, 79093.  Cremation arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

LaVonne was born on October 14, 1933 in Capron, Oklahoma to Orval Shelite and Dora Rea.  She married her husband, Dick Freeman on November 24, 1990 in Garden City, Kansas.  She enjoyed traveling, and she loved to dance.

LaVonne is survived by her husband, Dick, of Waka, Texas; three daughters, Ann Thomas of Waka, Texas, Shelly Albritton and husband, Pete, of Shubuta, Mississippi, and Kathy Burnett and husband, Dean, of Kingston, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Tom Taylor, who passed in 2004.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be to Hansford County Hospice, 707 S. Roland, Spearman, Texas, 79081.
