Lena Yauck, 103, of Follett, Texas passed this life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Perryton, Texas.  Viewing will be at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Booker, Texas on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Monday, August 26, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Congregational Church southwest of Follett, Texas.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Lena was born at the homeplace 7 miles Southwest of Follett, Texas to Fred F. Yauck and Katherine Elizabeth Schoenhals.  She grew up with four brothers and five sisters.  She attended Fairview Grade School and graduated from Follett High School in 1940.  She was a resident of Lipscomb County all her life.  She was employed at the Fred Born Machinery for many years.

She was a lifetime member of the St. John Congregational Church, and she loved knitting, crocheting and baking.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Katie Yauck, brothers Dave, Fred, Henry and G.F., sisters Marie Miller, Selma Born, Katie Redelsperger, Annie Scheer and Lillie Yauck.
