"He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe."

In memory of Leo Villa

My father, Leo Villa, was born on October 2, 1948 in Colonia Quevedo, Municipality of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico. The son of Mexican parents, his father was Mr. Aurelio Villa Montez and his mother Mrs. María Dominga Carrasco. My father was one of eleven siblings, with five sisters and five brothers.

In the 1970s, my father immigrated to Texas, where he formed the foundation of our family. From that moment on, we, his sons and daughters, were blessed with his example and dedication.

My father dedicated his life to hard work, always focused on providing for us. One of our fondest memories is of him working with Mr. Robert Urban from the years 1989-1990, until his last years in the service of Mrs. Diane/Bob Thorpe Urban. We will always be deeply grateful to the Urban/Thorpe family for their constant support and care for our dad. And the Shieldknight family.

My father's descendants, together with our mother Juanita Villa, are as follows:

• Her eldest daughter, Arcelia Villa, with her husband Alonso Arreola, and her granddaughters Tanya, Karina and Cynthia Arreola.

• Her daughter Grace Villa, with her husband Pedro Trevizo, and her granddaughters Myriam and Brianna Trevizo.

• His son Luis Villa, with his wife Rosalía Villa, and his granddaughters Kayla and Sofía Villa.

• Her youngest daughter, Maribel Trevizo, with her husband Pascual Trevizo, and her grandsons Joel and Aaron Trevizo.

My father was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Luke, Zeke who complete the legacy of love, work and dedication that he planted in all of us.

Although his absence hurts deeply, his memory will live forever in our hearts. We honor his life, his tireless work, and the love he sowed in our family. We will always remember you, Dad.

"I fought the good fight, I finished the race, I kept the faith."
