Linda Herbel,78, of Perryton, Tx. passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Tx . Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. A private family burial will be held before the service. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Linda Herbel was born October 18, 1941 to Alta and Richard Luft, Wichita, Kansas. She graduated with honors from Amarillo College in 1989 to start a career as an Xray tech. She further studied to become a radiation therapist. She worked at several cancer centers before retiring and moving back to Amarillo and then back to Perryton in 2016. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a great cook and seamstress.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her brother, Hilary Luft and wife Donna of Bison, Kansas; her children Jerry Herbel, Jr. and wife Angie of Kennesaw, GA; Darla Rhoden and husband, Frank of Perryton, Tx; Brenda Whitfield and husband, Jess of Arlington, Tx; 5 grandchildren Chris Herbel, Jason Herbel, Stephan Herbel, Jennifer Rhoden, Brian Rhoden and one great grandchild, Brady Rhoden.
