Lora Marie Wells, 71, of Perryton, Texas passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas.  Viewing will be at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Laverne Cemetery in Laverne, Oklahoma, officiated by Brandt O'Quin.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Mrs. Wells was born on December 7, 1951, in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Jim Helmuth and Donna Hart Helmuth.  She graduated from Forgan High School, and she married her husband, Jerry Duane Wells, in Jet, Oklahoma on December 20, 1971.  She attended the Guymon Church of the Nazarene, and she babysat children in Perryton, Texas for a long number of years, and she was very sassy.

Mrs. Wells is survived by one son, Ryan Wells and wife Audra of Spearman, Texas; one daughter, Keidi Mull and husband Jimmy of Guymon, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Helmuth of Follett, Texas; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Duane Wells.
