Margaret Odom, 95, of Gruver, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in Spearman, Texas.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Gruver Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Scott Curry.  Viewing at the funeral home will be Friday, September 9, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Spearman, Texas.

Mrs. Odom was born on April 2, 1927 in Texas County, Oklahoma to John Henry "Jake" Shapley and Pearl Catherine Wallin Shapley.  She married George Paul Odom on December 16, 1945 in Borger, Texas.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gruver, Texas, and she loved to travel in their motor home.  She enjoyed being home with her family, and was a homemaker all of her life.

Mrs. Odom is survived by one daughter, Darlene Hoel and husband Mack of Gruver, Texas; two sons, George B. Odom and wife Caroline of Dalhart, Texas, and Carl Lee Odom and wife Kathy of Cleburn, Texas; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Odom was preceded in death by her parents, husband and fivc brothers.
