Maria Ponce, 101, of Booker, Texas passed away July 6, 2026 in Booker, Texas. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m and Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Booker, Texas. Cremation arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Maria was born on December 21, 1924 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Leandro Medina and Librada Flores. She served in farms, picking fruit. She was married to Melquides Ponce, who passed away many years ago.

She is survived by two daughters, Maria Tudon and husband Felix and Nicacia Ponce and husband Mario, both of Booker, Texas; two sons, Federico Ponce of Mexico and Miguel Ponce of Booker, Texas; grandchildren, Patricia Andrade and husband Gonzalo of Booker, Texas, Lucia Tudon and husband Sergio of Booker, Texas, Erika Ponce of Austin, Texas; Rafael Tudon and wife Rosie of Booker, Texas, Julio Tudon and wife Sandra of Booker, Texas, Aurelio Ponce and wife Nicole of Houston, Texas, Roberto Ponce and wife Crystal of Booker, Texas, Abigail Lawler and husband Gabe of Beaver, Oklahoma, Betsida Ponce of Mexico, Zayda Ponce of Mexico, Maria de la Cruz of Mexico, Giovanna Ponce of Booker, Texas, America Ponce of Mexico, Karen Ponce of Mexico, Frederico Ponce, Jr. and wife Estella of Booker, Texas, Isaac Ponce and Tina of Perryton, Texas, and Abdon Ponce, Jr.; 41 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Melquides; one son, Abdon Ponce, Sr.; one grandson, Jose Felix Tudon, Jr.; one great-grandson, Aurelio Estabon Ponce; her parents, and her brothers and sisters.
