Marilyn Mabel  Been, 89, of Gruver, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 17, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at the  Gruver United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Chappell officiating. Interment will follow at the Gruver Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.

Marilyn was born in Pueblo, Colorado, on October 20, 1932 to Robert Huston Gilleylen and Mary Van Leer Gilleylen.   Marilyn and William Been were married on July 5, 1949 in Castle Rock, Co.  She love traveling, camping and she went white water rafting 2 years ago.  Marilyn was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and also great-great grandmother.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gruver.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents,  her husband and brother David Huston Gilleylen.

She is survived by son,  Danny Ray Been and wife, Cindi , of Gardner, CO.;  daughter, Terry and husband, Kevin Hart, of Gruver  and son, Timmy T. Been and wife, Linda, of Fritch, TX. Marilyn is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.

Family suggests memorials be to SPCA  or ones favorite charity.
