Mark Sanders, 68, of Hobbs, NM formerly of Perryton, TX passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022.  A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 in Ochiltree Cemetery, Perryton, TX with Rev. Marlon Sparks officiating. The funeral home in Perryton will be open for visitation Wednesday (1/19/22) 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday (1/20/22) 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Mark was born August 8, 1953 in Altus, OK to Billy and June (Uptergrove) Sanders. His family moved to the Perryton area in 1958. He graduated from Perryton High School and attended WTAMU, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He married Stacy Holland on August 22, 1976 in Perryton, TX. They made their home and raised their children in Perryton until 1992 when work transferred him to Hobbs, NM. He worked as a Geologist in the oilfield. He enjoyed life and especially his family and friends. He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy, of the home in Hobbs, NM; son, Chris Sanders of Hobbs, NM; daughter, Taryn and husband, Tyler Adams and their girls (his granddaughters) Tinsley and Taya all of Big Spring, TX; and sister, Kathy Ware of Amarillo, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
