Martha Jo McClenagan Hadley was born in Guymon, Oklahoma on September 24, 1941 to Carroll Dean “Babe” McClenagan and Ona Burton McClenagan. She was welcomed home by her loving Savior, on her 85th birthday, September 24, 2026.

Jo was raised in Gruver, TX. and graduated Gruver High School in 1960. She was loved by all her classmates as she was a caring and thoughtful friend to all. Jo married Barton Riley of Spearman, TX. on September 3, 1960. They later welcomed two children, daughter Rhonda Juimayee and son, Ronald Barton. As a young mother Jo taught children's Sunday School at the First Baptist Church of Spearman. From there Jo and her young family lived in various places before Bart passed away in March of 1976. During some of those early years Jo enjoyed spending some time in the rodeo arena, barrel racing and even being named rodeo queen on one occasion, as she was a true beauty inside and out.

Jo later settled in Gruver and was employed by Phillips 66 plant north of Gruver for many years.

After retirement she spent years of her life dedicated to helping raise her grandchildren. Her love for them all was selfless and unconditional, and they were her total joy and reason for living.

Jo put her trust in Jesus Christ at an early age, was baptized and became a member of First Baptist Church, Gruver. Because of this firm foundation, her faith remained steady even when life became difficult and her health was failing. “Her children rise up and call her blessed” as she was their greatest blessing!

Jo is survived by her daughter and caretaker, Rhonda Riley Schneider of Gruver, her son, Ron Riley and his wife Gia of New Caney, TX.; grandson, Cory Schneider and wife Jessica of Amarillo, TX.; granddaughter, Amanda Schneider Oliver and husband Nick of Knoxville, TN.; granddaughter, Kizzy Jo Riley and fiance, Israel Figuerao, and grandson Gatlin Riley also of New Caney, TX.; and her only great-grandchild, Jaden Oliver, whom she adored, also of Knoxville; her loving sister and best friend, Carolyn Fletcher and husband, Richie of Gruver, Tx.; sister-in-law, Rosalynn McClenagan of Gruver, Tx.; one niece and many nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Carroll Dean and Ona McClenagan, her hero big brother, Dean McClenagan, and one very special nephew, Stan Fletcher, who met her with open arms and a song at the gates of Heaven.
