Mary McLain Brock, 92, of Spearman passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. Viewing will be on Sunday, January 19,2025 (1:00p.m. – 9:00p.m.) at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.  A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Spearman on Monday, January 20th at 1:00p.m. with Rev. Byron Potter officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Mary was born on August 2, 1932 in Spearman, Texas to L.S. McLain and Ada Estelle Hamilton McLain. Mary attended Spearman High School and graduated in 1949 as the Football Queen and Best All Around Senior Girl. J.L. Brock and Mary McLain were married on August 10, 1949 in Spearman where they made their home for almost 74 years. She spent her life serving the First Christian Church and the First Baptist Church in Spearman.  She spent many years leading Worship, teaching Sunday School, and hosting Community groups in her home. Mary loved studying the word and was a member of Bible Study Fellowship for many years.  Mary and her husband founded the Brock Insurance Agency in Spearman, and she was heavily involved in the community.   Mary was a very loving wife, mother, and Grammy to her grands and great-grands.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, J.L. and grandson, Jeff Brock.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra and husband Jim Brown of Austin, TX., sons, Kim and wife Stephanie Brock of Spearman, TX, Todd and wife Christy Brock of Dallas, TX.,  and sister, Mona May of Austin, TX.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cami  Brown Brumley and husband Jeremy, Amanda Brown May and husband Colby, Janna Brock, Jordan Brock and wife Jessica, John Brock and wife Courtney, Meg Brock Morris and husband Cody, Meryl Brock Posey and husband Kyle, and Mackenzie Brock Piatkowski and husband Andrew. She is also survived by her 18 great-grandchildren (Ellie & Ren Murphy, Carter & Coen May, Benjamin & Evie Brock, Riley, Reed, & Reece Brock, Owen, Zoe, & Ava Morris, Will, Sam, & Alice Posey, Jett, Frankie Sue, and Ace Piatkowski) and many nieces and nephews.
