Mary Moore, 80, of Spearman, Texas, died on October 18, 2026 in Amarillo. Viewing will be Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 25, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., both at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman, Texas. Mary’s funeral service will be Monday, October 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Spearman, officiated by Pastor Philip Hudson, with burial following in Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Spearman, Texas.

Mary was born on December 22, 1945 in Borger, Texas to Hap Bess and Betty Holder Bess. She attended school in Borger. She married Donald Moore in October of 1975 in Spearman, Texas.

She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Spearman, where she played the piano in the 70s and 80s. She loved to read. She owned and operated All-Occasion Flowers in Spearman for 25 years.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Redonna Jean Thornton, of Amarillo, Texas; her son, Stephen Moore, of Spearman, Texas; and her granddaughter, Dale Lorraine Wilson, of Eugene, Oregon.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don Moore, her brother Don Bess, and her son Jesse Browning.
