Melquiades Zamarripa Fierro, 81, of Spearman, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.  Viewing and visitation will be on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. until funeral time at the Iglesia Pentecostal Jesus Esta Aqui Church in Spearman, Texas, on South Roland St.   Funeral Services will be on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 10:00a.m. at the Iglesia Pentecostal Jesus Esta Aqui Church in Spearman, with Alfredo Martell officiating.   Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman, Texas.

He was born on December 26, 1940, in OJOS Calientes Chihuahua, Mexico to Josue Zamarripa and Maria Fierro Corral.  He married his wife, Manvela Zamarripa Jasso in Guadalupe Chihuahua, Mexico in March of 1975.

Melquiades is survived by his five daughters; Micaela Zamarripa of Mexico, Rosa Zamarripa, Eldia Zamarripa, Nancy Zamarripa, Lorena Zamarripa all of Spearman, Texas; four sons, Maike Zamarripa, Josue Zamarripa, Gumaro Zamarripa, all of Spearman, Texas and Moises Zamarripa of Mexico.  He is also survived by his seven brothers, Reyes Zamarripa of Vilas, CO., Felipe Zamarripa of Mexico, Meny Zamarripa of Midland, TX., Justo Zamarripa of Van Horn, TX., Jose Zamarripa of Mexico, Luis Zamarripa of Mexico and Nieves Zamarripa of Cheyenne WY.; and sisters Eva Zamarripa of Midland, TX. and Raquel Zamarripa of Oklahoma City, OK.  He is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
