Noel Olivarez, age 74, of Spearman, TX passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 in Amarillo, TX. He was born on December 31, 1951 in Roma-Los Saenz, TX to Jesus Olivarez and Dora Garza-Olivarez.

Noel built his life in Spearman after high school in Roma-Los Saenz, TX. He worked at Baker and Taylor Drilling as well as Berry Grain, before making the decision to drive trucks over-the-road.

Noel had a passion for classic cars and trucks; winning various auto shows for his blue, 1940 Chevy pickup. He loved riding motorcycles with his brothers and brother-in-law in his younger years but didn’t slow down later in life. On any given day Noel could be seen cruising the streets of Spearman, on his motorized wheelchair, going to visit his twin brother Joel; gabbing with anyone he came across along the way. He had a deep love for genealogy and family history, proudly sharing photographs and stories of generations past and always eager to uncover the stories behind his family and discover the famous relatives who came before us. Noel was an honest man of integrity who will be remembered for always speaking his mind and standing proudly for his beliefs and the people he loved.

Noel is survived by his youngest sister Gloria Alicia and her husband Raul Sanchez of Marietta, OK – twin brother Joel Olivarez of Spearman, TX and oldest brother, Joe Arnoldo Olivarez of Waka, TX, and various nieces and nephews from Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Washington.

Noel was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Timoteo Olivarez and two sisters, Isabel Casas and Estela Arjona and his pet dog Rocky.

Graveside services will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, at Hansford Cemetery, in Spearman, TX at 10:00 AM. Arrangements made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc of Spearman, TX.
