Patricia Nell Kerns Wynn was born in the community of Chaney, Oklahoma, northwest of Gage, Oklahoma, on December 8, 1929, in the home of her maternal grandparents, Edward and Nellie Baxter. Her parents were Clyde and Daisy Kerns. Pat grew up in the Sunset and Logan communities and attended high school at Laverne, Oklahoma. She was the oldest of four children: her sibling included JoAn, Dean, and Shirlee.

Pat married Cecil Wynn on October 11, 1948, in Amarillo, Texas, with JoAn Kerns and Wes Stevens as their witnesses. Cecil and Pat lived in a one-room house south of Follett next to Cecil's parents, Art and Lucy Wynn. While living in this home, the couple welcomed their first child, Daryl. In 1950, Cecil and Pat and their infant son Daryl moved across the state line on what was called the "Hicks Place" to farm. Though they had moved to Oklahoma, their hearts belonged to Texas where they attended church and were involved in the Follett community activities. They bought the Lavoy Trout place in 1950, and that was to be their home for the next thirty-three years. It was there that they farmed, raised cattle, and added four more children to the family. Linda arrived in 1952; Kevin came along in 1953; Kelly was welcomed in 1957; Clay joined the family in 1959.

When it came time to send the children to school, Pat and Cecil decided to send them to Texas. They took great pride in following their children's school activities and sports. This involvement led to two state championships - Linda in basketball and Kelly and Clay in football.

The years spent at "Wynnville,"as they referred to home, were like all families with good years and lean years; during the dust of fifties, the lights were often kept on all day. In 1957, a three-day blizzard came that broke the drought and allowed people to breathe easily once again.

In 1982, Cecil and Pat built a home in Follett. After Cecil's sudden passing in 1989, Pat, with the help of her sons, picked up the reins and continued with the farming and ranching. For many years Pat belonged to "Bid and Chatter" bridge club. For twenty-eight years, Pat hosted a home Bible study on Tuesday mornings. The names and faces changed through the years, but not the subject or the message.

Pat enjoyed watching her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren participate in any activity from beauty pageants to stock shows to athletic events. No matter where they were or what they were doing, "Grandma Pat" wanted to be a part of the activity.

Pat was an active member of North Harvest Community Church until she entered Twin Oaks Manor in Booker in January of 2015.

She is survived by her sons, Daryl Wynn and wife, Susie, of Booker, Kevin Wynn and wife, Patricia, of Follett, Clay Wynn and wife, Jill, of Follett; sister, JoAn Stevens and husband, Wesley of Mesa, Az; sister-in-law Carol Kerns of Siloam Springs, Ar; son-in-law, Steve Haynes of Lubbock, Tx.
