Perry Dixon was born Sunday, August 19 th 1934 in Spearman to Pearl M Dixon and Luthera Jones Dixon.  He graduated from Morse High School, at age 16, and went to McMurray College in Abilene where he played football.  He later attended Texas Tech University.

Perry was one of the last of the "Real Cowboys".  He loved working with his horses and cattle.  He always said that he only farmed to have something to feed his cattle.  He had friends everywhere.  He was known wherever he went.  He could walk into a room of strangers and would walk out with lifelong friends.  He loved to brag on his grandkids, dogs and his horses.  Perry loved all sports, especially rodeo and team roping.

He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Spearman and truly enjoyed being a member of Methodist Men.

He married Mary Frances Archer in 1973 in Spearman.  He loved his family and friends, going to church, playing Ft Worth Gin and poker, ice cream and his dogs, Justice and Blossom.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary; sons Monty and wife Amber, son Mike, and his daughter Carlee.  He was Grandy to Andrew and his wife Lauren, Trae, Tarryn, Mason, Grace, Kyle and Dietrich and his two great grandsons Grant and Hayes.  One of his greatest loves was his niece Suzanne, her husband Dwight and her children Alan and his wife Martha, Robert and his wife Kristina and Gena Faye.

He was preceded in death by his father Pearl, his mother Luthera "Minnie", his sister Elva Gene, his nephew Alan and his granddaughter Taylor.

We will have a Celebration of Life in 2021.
