Primitivo  Aguilar 100, of Gruver passed away on Friday, February 13,2026 in Spearman.  Viewing will be on Sunday, February 15,2026, 1:00 p.m. Until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, February 16,2026 , 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.  A graveside service will be on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Gruver Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Philip Hudson officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Primitivo was born on June 10, 1925 to Severiano Aguilar and Eulalia Ortiz in Presidio, Texas.  He was a farmer and loved being around his family.  He was as sharp as a tack and was full of jokes and stories. He was an aspired to be "mechanic".

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching baseball (Yankees) and boxing.  He loved going to restaurants and really loved his "camaroncitos".  He loved hanging out with his grandkids.  Primitivo always had candy or fruit in his pockets to share with his great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Rosa Barron of Gruver, Texas and a son, Jesus Aguilar of Amarillo, 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 11 Great-great- grandchildren.
